To make the pearls use a round tip the size you would like your pearls to be.....have a piece of fondant rolled out I don't know the thickness but thick enough that you would get a good round...keep pressing your tip into the fondant and the pearls will start coming out the top of the tip in a row.... have a piece of saran wrap to put them under until you are ready to roll them....use a small type sponge and roll them between your finger and the sponge till you get a smooth round shape. Let them harden a bit then put them in a lustre dusted container and shake....I am doing them in front of the TV cause it's a bit boring LOL

HTH Im sorry if this doesn't make since, having trouble explaining the process.

Just think of the fondant as play clay you used as a child. Nothing scary about it at all. You could also make pearls out of white choc. clay, anyhow since you have to have them by sunday and you don't have any bead making tools (I use a plastic round bead maker from hobby lobby) I would pinch off equal size bits and roll them like wgoat said with your finger and foam sponge. Let that inner child come out to play, you will be glad you did.

What I do is roll out a rope, and then but equal sized segments to roll up in the palm of my hand. They will all be the same size that way.

Its very easy but time consuming.

you can roll the fondant into a long rope then cut equal pieces and roll them. Or you can roll the fondant out and cut with a round cutter so they are all the same size

I use an icing tip. Roll out a piece of fondant. (letting it dry just a bit helps it not to stick ) Then just press the tip of a round tip into the fondant. Don't take the piece out of the tip, just press it again and again into the rolled fondant, soon you will see a long string of fondant disks start to come out of the top of the tip. Break off each disk and roll. This will give you consistent size pearls.

Hope this helps.

so i made the pearls last night and man NO KIDDING...they TAKE 4EVER!!! i got a bunch done in an hours worth of time, but no where close to as many as i need for the cake i am doing...The biggest tip i have is round tip 5 i think it was (i'm terrible at remembering tip numbers) so my pearls were a little small....And i also found out Fondant isn't soooo bad...lol icon_wink.gif but i think this was a good way to introduce myself to it for the first time ever...the flavor of it (wilton premade rolled fondant) was something else also...i wasn't quite sure what to make of it, or if i like it or not...hmmmm icon_rolleyes.gif
