Help With Color

Hello all, I need help getting a color called truffle with buttercream frosting. I looks like a dark brown mixed with burgandy. This my 1st real wedding cake and I really need it to look good............pleeeeeeeeeease help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest taking a small amount of buttercream and playing with it, trying to get the right color. You can even leave it in your mixer to save your hands. (Make careful notes of course). Make sure to let it sit to see how it darkens.

teasom--thanks for the charts! Putting those in my favorites.

kimvinson--I've never heard of that color before. Do you have a ribbon sample that you can match your icing to? Could you maybe take a snapshot of it to post here? Maybe we can take a look at it and give you some ideas on where to start.
