My first wedding cake!! AUGH. I need ideas on covering/decorating the arm that runs up the back of the tiers and holds them together. The box the stand came in has a picture, but it's not what I'm looking for. I'm getting nervous as the time goes by and I can't come up with any ideas! Any pictures or ideas would be most welcome.

I've used that stand twice now! I love it, especially after hubby bent the top bracket back up! The top tier wanted to tilt so you might want to check that out! Put something heavy on it and see if it hold the weight without bending for you! Anyway, take a look in my photos for the wedding cakes I did. I used tulle, silk vines and flowers and lights to dress it up! Good luck!

I have used mine several times and the most popular way of covering it has been to make two multi-loop bows using different widths of ribbon of the wedding colors and placing one at the top and one in the middle and mixing in ivy or other greenery. Leave long streamers coming from the bows down onto the table along with the greenery.

HTH!

You will do great! The pink & white swirl cake was my first paid wedding cake and I was a wreck!! Just believe in yourself and your talent and remember - it's just cake!
You can always eat your mistakes!! Do a smaller version for a trial run and remember to post pics!!

Also, welcome to Cake Central!! You will soon be addicted and learn tons of stuff from everyone here!
