A good friend's birthday is coming up in Dec. She is a crafty sort who makes these jewel-covered boxes that are gorgeous. I thought it would be cool to make a jewel-covered gumpaste box on her cake.
I thought I saw a thread where someone posted where to buy the candy jewels already made. Now that I need it, I can't find it again. I found the gem mold, but would like to buy the gems pre-made. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
TIA!
~Jules

Well they are easy to make but if you have no experience in sugar then you might want to buy them!

There is a member here that has a site
http://www.jeff-the-chef.com/

They do beautiful work. Click on the products page, Click on premade icon with goldfish and scroll down. There are jewels.

moydear77: Thanks for the site info. Those look great!

I thougth there was another I saw where you got a variety of the colors/shapes. Jeff's site has all one color in a set, and I'd really like a variety. Anyone know what it is?

Well, I found the site I remembered, but when I looked closer, the jewels look more like pills! It is: www.thejewelsofdenial.com.

kincaellan: thanks for clarifying- I didn't think about coloring them myself! I am going to check out the silicone molds right now.
