I Am Slightly Worried...

So I made my first sculpted cake (a submarine in my photos). The lady wanted it for either Friday night or Saturday (today). So I guess I assumed the party was today. I had another cake due today so I got the cake out Wednesday night and carved it, crumb coated, and then let it defrost from there. I put fondant on it on thursday and completed the decorating. So when I drop it off today I find out the party isnt until tommorow (sunday). So I feel that the cake has been out a little longer than anticipated. I dont think it would be dry, but I hope it just hasnt been sitting out too long. I suppose we have eaten cake I have made about a week later and they are still good, but I would have waited another day to do it if I had known. What do you guys think??
It should be fine. The fondant really does help preserve the moisture and since it has not been cut I wouldn't worry about it. When I made my mini cakes they were eat on for over a week and were still as fresh could be.
i think it should be fine.. from wat ive been told, fondant holds in moisture... and unless u used a heavy wipping cream or cream, then it should still be good, specially if it was held in the frigde (sp?)
im sure it will be fine.. ive had cakes that are longer then that, and my family still eats them and they dont get sick sooo... and they eat anything.. but lol they could just have very strong imune systems lol
i hope everything goes alright ![]()

Well I do use a few tablespoons of whipping cream in my buttercream. I normally feel fine about leaving it out for 2-3 days. Usually it is fine for even longer...but since this wasnt for my family and she actually paid me money to make it I am a little worried.
