Ca anyone tell me how to get my icing Red? Everytime I try it just gets pink, and if I do get anywhere close to red it seems my icing is to thin to do anything with! Please help icon_cry.gif

Are you using the gel color in buttercream icing? If so I just keep adding the red, it takes a lot. If it gets to thin add more powdered sugar. Good luck

I use the Wilton colors-I guess I'm just not using enough. I just feel like if I add more pwdered sugar, the icing will get lighter.

Using the Wilton color does take a lot. Make sure you use the Red no taste, because when you have to use a lot using the regular re can make your icing taste bitter.
