Meringue Powder Substitute?

Is there anything to substitute meringue powder with? I am making the Royal Icing that contains MP but I have none.

The only thing i would think is real egg whites with some cream of tartar added. Try this site http://www.joyofbaking.com/RoyalIcing.html

Actually I have used cream of tartar and it worked fine.
