O.k. Not actually saying the cake will be in the peacock shape but want to decorate so that it uses the colors and has the feather eyes. What should I use?
The base color is going to be lime green.
We are having a fashion show and one of the dresses is lime green with peacock feathers and gold bead work so this is the idea behind the cake.
Any ideas???
I bought some cookie cutters in a leaf shape that I think may work. Im not very good at freehand work so I cant just paint the feathers on.
Thanks for any suggestions!

All colors on peacock and gold on the base are done in luster dust. I used a leaf fondant cutter and drew the veins in with a tooth pick if that helps any.

For my peacock feathers ( in my album) I used a deep blue, green and gold

If you are cutting the feathers out insert a wire in ( remove later)... dip them in the blue mixed with alcohol and stand to dry, then dip in the green and stand to dry, you may have to play with this and double dip the colours to get the right depth and blend. when this is dry paint the "eye" I dusted the edges with a green/gold luster dutst.

Thanks so much!!!! You guys are great. This has given me some wonderful ideas.
I will work on some of these and see what I come up with. If it looks good I will post a picture. I think I am going to have a trial run over the weekend and see what I get.
