I saw beautiful pictures of castle cakes and there was one in particular which my daughter loved. It was done by brendanne and I wanted to know if anyone else has seen the picture and has any idea how she did the cake. What are the turrets made from? do I have to use the exact same size pans she used or can I adecuate them to my needs? I appreciate all the help I can get since I am doing this cake for my daughter's birthday and she is very excited about a princess castle cake!
You can pm her and ask her for directions, but it looks pretty str8 forward. It looks as if she covered TP tubes for the smaller turrets. The taller ones may be the tubes out of a Press'n'Seal box. I noticed that they are skinnier than the other tubes. You can always alter a cake to make it to your specifications.
HTH! Good luck!

My grandaughter chose this cake for her birthday I used fondant for the towers and and gumpaste for the roofs. I dried the roofs on parchment cones. I used rice crispie treats for the turrets the princesses are on. I did dowel them for security. I have to say mine was okay but I ran out of time for all the vinery and flowers. so I only did the front.
