Ok, what's your favorite crusting chocolate buttercream? I've tried quite a few but haven't found the "one" yet.

TIA

I haven't tried the choc version of this one yet. But I made the reg version this weekend and it was great.

On page 23 of the thread, Sugarshack talks about how she modifies it for choc BC.

Do you have a favorite regular crusting buttercream? If so you can just add chocolate to it. You can use either cocoa powder, melted chocolate squares, melted chocolate chips or melted candy melts. All work great. How much chocolate you add depends on the taste/color you are going for. You will probably have to add additional water to your recipe as the chocolate will make your icing a little drier.

I LOVE chocolate. If I was looking for a good flavor that was stronger than a milk choc but not quite as strong as a fudgey choc, which one would work better? I am thinking maybe the square or chips.
