so i have my very first cake order.... EVER! i really really need an idea. she wants buttercream but it will be very hot and humid that day is there any chance that i might use a receipe that taste like BC but holds up to humidity? what about buying sam's club icing? any suggestions highly needed!!! ![]()

and by the way.... the cake is a 3 tier.... i should definitly buy the supports correct? thanks in advance
It is very hot and humid where I live too and I have used Sam's buttercream with no problems. I usually add my own flavorings to it and if left as is, it tends to pull away from the cake when icing so I add water to it to slightly thin it up. If I am making buttercream flowers, I add confectioner's suger to stiffen it.
I live where it's hot and humid as well and haven't had good luck with either. I've had better luck with the Itallian one from the DeDe Wilson "Wedding Cakes you can make" book but absolutely no luck with the Elissa Strauss recipe from Confetti Cakes.
I guess it's just to humid.
