I'm practicing modelling with fondant and was wondering howyou blend the seams in where you've attached a hand or arm. Any help would be appreciated.

I've started playing around with this and just try to place the seams where a garment seam would be - shoulders, wrists, etc.

I've also had limited success wetting my finger and smoothing the pieces together.

Ok, I've never tried this myself (yet), but Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes fixes cracks and covers seams in fondant w/ royal icing tinted to match the fondant. He puts it on, then spreads it out so you can't tell it's even on the cake! Kind of like caulk almost!

Good luck! icon_smile.gif

I actually have made my figure, then dress them with fondant clothes and that covers up the weirdness of the joints, My clothing just has seams like regular real clothing, although we all need to remember that I have only done this a couple of times, so not an expert!
