Caqn anyone tell me how to make tools out of mmf? I am doing my dad's 75th bijrhtday cake and he is a carpenter. I would like to put measuring tape as teh bottom trim but I would like to get some imput oon how to mold teh actual tape measurer.

if u want to do just the tape, witout the housing thiny icon_biggrin.gif I would cut out a ribbon( in the color u want) thats long enough to fit around the cake & make the markings with an edible pen.
As for the other tools I find the easiest is to look @ the actual tool, or at least a pic while modelling.

I made a tape measure out of fondant; you can see it in my photos. Just mold a hunk of fondant into a square and round the edges a bit. It helps to look at one while you're doing it.
