I need a great tasting cake recipe for my son's 3yr. B'day party. I am going to do a 3D Thomas Train cake so I need it to be able to stand up but moist enough to be good! Last year I did a McQueen cake and used the Wilton pound cake recipe. It looked good but tasted horrible! Could someone please help!

I highly recommend the "durable cake for 3-D and wedding cakes listed in the recipe section here. It calls for white or yellow cake but I have used chocolate and changed the pudding to chocolate as well. Hope this helps!!! Cant wait to see a pic.

I always just use whatever cake mix, add a box of pudding and an extra egg. Still yummy but durable enough to carve.
