OMG!! She is my favorite - I would love, love, love to take a course from her. Isn't she in Texas, though? Even my kids know her name when they see her....my favorite was when she had the 'One Tip challenge" and used tape to make a bunch of stuff and won....she is so cool. icon_cool.gif

Sorry..... icon_redface.gif to answer your question, no, I have never taken her class.

Does Bronwen (I think you spelled her name wrong, or type way too fast!) do classes outside of Texas? She was scheduled to do one at Cake Carousel in Richardson (just outside Dallas, where she works), but it was shy about two people, so she cancelled.

I just watched her yesterday on my tivo'd 'Cartoon Cake Challenge' - man did she do a tough cake! Can you say gravity defying? It was great. She is so creative and talented, that's for sure.

I would LOVE to take a class from her! And she teaches at a university or college doens't she?? Man would I love to go to that College!!!!! Can you imagine learning everything straight from Bronwen AND getting a degree for it??? I mean like when you take classes outside of a school it's awesome too and I don't think you necessarily have to go to school - but if you were trying to earn a pastry arts degree AND got to learn all the cake decorating from Browen at the same time - WOW that would be awesome!

Not sure if she teaches at a college, but do know that she was in Austin (my hometown), TX for a while, then moved up to the Big D (Dallas) to work.

Here is her website - http://www.frostedart.com/index.htm

Enjoy!

I have taken a few classes from Bronwen. AMAZING! I think she is going to be at the Frost-a-Tiers Day of Sharing ( Sugar Land -- outside of Houston) in November to do a demo.

I read under "about us" that it's in West Hills. My question is what is she teaching? Is it for beginners? intermediate? Buttercream? Fondant?

imartsy - sorry did not see your post. The class is in Northridge, CA. If you sign up for the class, they will provide transportation from the hotel to the class room.

If you have any other questions let me know.

They told me northridge and the hotel is in northridge not far from CalJava. I am offical signed up for the class. They had a lot of people calling for it, so I am very happy to get in. She will be teaching gumpaste flowers, fine detail work and fondant. Stuff I have been wanting to do. The class is from 9-5, lunch and dinner served their. The hotel looks great, it is the only one in Northridge, CA.

Thanks for all the info. I'm in the Santa Clarita Valley, so that's only a hop, skip, and jump away from me. Now coming up with the money, that's where I am going to run into trouble! $645.00! Yikes!

if you reserve quickly you just need to put down $100 then the rest is due in January. If you can start puting away 45 to 50 dollars a week and let everyone know you would like to attend this class it would be a great christmas gift.

let me know if you go.
