Does the 3D Bear look much different from Winnie the Pooh? Do you think I could make it work?
Any advice or tips?
Thanks,
Cindy

Absolutely! Check out my photos. I used the bear pan for my Pooh cake. Just pipe extra icing on the nose, cheeks & forehead to make the face more closely resemble Pooh. I kept a photo of Pooh nearby as I iced the cake to help me get it right.

Thank you so much! Did you put a dowel thru him for support? Any extra tips?

No, I didn't dowel through the cake, but really should have....I did put a piece of cardboard under him and dowels under that, but would have been sturdier if I used a center dowel as well.

I found that the heating core really didn't work for me. I just baked him a little longer. I used the cake mix extender recipe to get 1-2 more cups of batter in the pan so he would fill out all the way up to his feet.

The only other thing I had some trouble with was coming up with a "Pooh Yellow". I think I mixed a tiny bit of brown into my yellow to get the rather mustardy color of Pooh.

Good luck! Can't wait to see him!
