I live in Buffalo, NY and as some of you may have heard, we had quite the storm last week. I have been a displaced hobo for the last 7 days. We just got back into our house tonight. We have no heat and most of my kitchen appliances are burned out from the power surges. Anyway, when the storm hit, I was finishing a cake for a co-worker. (finished the decorationg by candlelight) I had to carry that stinkin cake around for 2 days, from house to house, trying to keep it cold, we ended up eating it as I could not get a hold of the woman I made it for. When we got back in our house and realized we had internet access, my husband said, "bet you'll be right back on your cake site.." you betcha!!!! So, although I can't bake, unless I can borrow an easy bake oven from anyone, I will be enjoying everyone elses baking here. Thank you to all of you, your baking will keep me warm through the coming days with no oven, furnace, microwave, coffee maker, etc....thank goodness for the internet!!!

I totally feel for you. icon_cry.gificon_redface.gificon_cry.gif I thought I had it bad a week ago when I didn't have heat because it needed fixed and landlord couldn't get to it. It was only down to 25 for a few days with no snow. And I thought that was aweful since kids live in the basement and it is way colder there. I can only imagine what you have been going through. I pray things get better for you soon. I at least had a space heater for the in the basement and electircity. And I am sure that would have been a luxery for you. icon_redface.gif I really feel for you. I feel bad for having a electric oven to at lest heat the upstairs and the electricy to do it. I hope you and yours gets back on track soon thumbs_up.gif
