I decorated my nfsc with antonia74 cookie icing (very yummy), however my colour is very flat looking. How do you get that nice glossy look with the icing? Also, how do I get a really dark black colour?

the times i've decorated with antonia74 cookie icing, it hasn't gotten terrifically shiny... depending on the type of shine you're looking for, you could glaze a cookie, use glitter or use colorflow.
not too sure about the black colour with the antonia icing though... hopefully someone out there has done it.

My royal icing recipe is matte when dried, not shiny.

To get the blackest of blacks, I only use the Americolor colourings. Nothing else I've tried has been a true "pitch" black. It's the best for really dark reds, blacks. purples, etc....the hardest colours to achieve:
