I remember seeing a link or perhaps a chart on here that converts the tins sizes from inches to cms. Does anyone have that info?? I need it and have been searching all day for it and cant for the life of me remember where it was I saw it!!!

I am hopeless with measurements and we use cms in Australia and am doing some courses and requirement lists are in inches... HELP.. please?

Lili, most cake tins are still measured in inches, even here. The only ones that I've marked in cm's are in expensive houseware or department stores - you can get much cheaper (and better quality) through cake decorating supply stores.
If all else fails - as a rough guide, 1 inch is 2.5 cms.

Thanks... the ones I've bought are from a cake decorating shop where ironically I am doing these courses. The tins are marked in cms but all requirements lists state inches.

I know I should have paid more attention is school!!! Dh gets frustrated when I tell him he has to show me measurements, not just tell me!! icon_redface.gif

I have exactly the same problem.. going the other way! Sadly, most of my schooling predates metric (OMG - Am I REALLY that old icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif ) and I have a lot of trouble "visualising" in cms! DH (who is even older) laughs at me, too!
