I have a double layer 8" round yellow marble cake that I need a filling for. I'm tired of BC between the layers. This is for a very good friends Birthday. I will be taking this to work for our co workers to eat. What goes good with marble, anything besides chocolate? Something with a little pazazz maybe? What do you think. I have to have this done tomorrow night.

TIA,
Kat

Chocolate was the first thing that I thought about! Ummm.....what about an almond or hazelnut filling?

Yeah me too, the only reason I don't want chocolate is the only thing I know that's good is BC or Mock Moose. I wanted something special. I guess if someone has a good recipe of something different it would be good. I'm not trying to be picky I would have done hazelnut with the Nutella but too many people are allergic to nuts. If it was for my house aboslutely.

How about chocolate/ heath/Skor bar filling...very yummy and all you have to do is add Skor/Heath candy bits to it.

or ganache..

Or how about orange/Grand Mariner buttercream filling...grown up and yummy

Or Dulce de leche filling ...caramel like and it goes so well with chocolate and yello cake..you can buy it premade or make it from condensed milk

Or rasberry SMBC

How about filling it with pastry cream and covering it in chocolate like a Boston creme pie?

Wow, thanks Janek, the only one I've heard of that you mentions was the ganache. Are the recipes for these on CC?

Oh, they all sound so good! I'm impartial to Boston Cream though, if I can find it somewhere that it's not so exspensive. Although the Mocha Mousse sounds good too, I love chocolate! I have to remember it's not for me though. The place I get my supplies from is real pricey!
