Hi CCer's,
I need some advice to all of you who have entered contest before. I am considering entering the local county fair's bridal cake contest. I read the rules for the contest and it states that everything on the cake, including the cake must be edible. My question is this, Does this mean I cannot use supports or dowels, or cake plates and separators. I do understand that nothing will be returned therefor no plates and pillars. But the SUPPORTS? It might be disasterous

Any help and comments from my fellow experienced CCer's will be greatly appreciated.

it means all decorations must be edible and it must be made out of actual cake and not a cake dummy, you can use dowel rods and cardboard separators, but not separator plates. they can't be able to see your supports.
