I don't know about that, but my mom mixes pudding with fruit cocktail and uses it for a filling. It is really good.

I wouldn't want to risk leaving a milk-based pudding at room temperature over night. I'm probably more cautious than most, though, because I have gotten really sick from food poisoning.
