I'm making a strawberry cake from a mix. Is there anything I can add to give it a special touch???? Its Pillsbury so it will already have pudding in it.

The expanded flavors version of the WASC cake has strawberry variations:

(Use strawberry cake mix, jello, extract, yogurt, nectar, berries.)

I used the extender recipe (which is actually very similar to WASC) and replaced the vanilla with strawberry extract. The recipient of the cake said she'd never tasted strawberry cake that good before. She was going to order a chocolate cake for a friends birthday on friday until she tried the strawberry. She immediately changed her mind and decided to go with the strawberry. I also made a simple syrup and added some strawberry filling to it, then lightly brushed the sliced parts of the cake with the syrup. I filled the cake with strawberry filling. Here are the recipes:

(replaced raspberries with strawberries)

Simple syrup=equal parts water and sugar, bring to a boil, cool, brush onto cake layers.
