Can someone tell me why 3 letters on the cookies? What do they represent? First names and last?

I think the first and last initials are the first initials of the two people, girl first. The larger middle initial is the couple's Last name Initial.

Susan and Mike Doe would be SDM (with the middle letter being the biggest).

At least that's how I thought it went.

Okay, thank you so much. I never thought about it, but a friend of mine asked me and made me think.

Thanks again.
