i have an order for 8inch round cake saying ''Farewell and Good Luck!" do you think this would fit in the cake or should i write it on the board ,

and also the cake is french vanilla with strawberry filling , what kind of cake mix can i doctor to get the french vanilla. also any suggestions for the Strawberry filling.

Ahh... a fellow Virginian. You should be able to fit it all on the cake. As far as theme, perhaps you could just do simple shell scrolls around the top/bottom, writing on top with travel signs, suitcase, confetti around the sides? Or as an exchange student theme - write various words in different styles in both languages.
How about drawing the American flag and the flag of the student's country? Also, go to freetranslation.com and find out how to say farewell and good luck in their language.
