Sorry guys,
I saw there was a sticky thing on this topic about buttercream, but I was hoping without having to read a billion pages a simple answer to my question

How long is buttercream good for if using half butter half crisco and water recipe (Wilton)?

Would this be bad if left unrefridgerated for at least a week maybe two? Not sure about this?!

Thank you!

I don't think it would be good to use if unrefrigerated for that long. I've kept it refrigerated for at least 3-4 weeks and it was fine. (Wilton Recipe). HTH.

My buttercream is fine for two weeks at room temp. I keep it stored in an airtight bucket. The recipe I use is high ratio, powdered sugar and liquids that are all non-dairy.
I have never had any left after two weeks but I can tell you that mine is exactly the same after two weeks as it is on the day I first make it.

Yours having butter in it would probably need to be in the fridge after a week.
