wow, thank you all sooo much for the kind words. i'm really blown away by the time you all took to give me your sweet sweet feedback! hope it doesn't go to my head! ![]()
i would love to add henna cakes to my henna services, as a specialty, that was a really great idea everyone! i would have no idea what to charge though. any suggestions? i guess i could just charge my normal henna rate, which is pretty, um, expensive. i have no idea how much wedding cakes go for though (which is ironic considering i was married two years ago, but the cake was part of the catering package)...
a couple people asked me privately, but my website of henna designs is at http://www.hennalounge.com - i hope some of you will find some inspirations there! i think for anyone who does scrolls or "lace" designs, you will have fun with henna-inspired designs too.
wow, sugar veiling looks very interesting! very high tech though?
thanks again for all the comments.
Beautiful design work on the cakes ! I love the henna designs and they translated wonderfully on to the cake. The choice of colors were great too! Definately consider offering this service to your brides or market yourself to homebakers, bakeries so if they get such a request, they will contact you !
Wow, Hennalounge, your work is STUNNING!
I love your website too, I lingered over your gallery for quite some time.
I think you would do yourself a tremendous favor by offering the henna cakes too - you name is already out there in the bridal arena for your artistry and in Indian community word of mouth travels FAST.
I noted in your blog that your in-laws are from Karnataka - mine too!
Do you speak Kannada?
All the best wishes to you and congrats on a very gorgeous cake ![]()
