If the entire batch is to be one color I add color with the water, else mix in color when ready to mold, roll etc. I usually make it the day before I need it but have used it the same day.

Hope that helps! good luck!

I read somewhere about 1/2 an hour is the least time between finishing kneading and using. If you add color you'll want it to age a bit, the color deepens as it sits. How long you leave it before using it is up to your needs. Just keep it in an air tight container and you'll be fine. I love working with the stuff.

Room temp. only! Keep it wrapped in plastic wrap and then in a tupperware container. Keeps for a long time. IF need be, put it in the micro for a few seconds...like 5-10 before you need it. It makes it easier to knead in color that way. Make sure hands are coated with crisco too.

I usually let mine sit at least over night, I find it easier to work with this way. If gets too hard, pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, then knead.

I store at room temp, wrapped in saran and in air tight container.
