I made these cute little red plaques out of colorflow icing for the top layer of a wedding cake. They turned out perfect!

I attached them the night before delivery by painting a little gel to the back and stuck them to the cake. I wanted to be sure they stuck and didn't slide down because they were a little heavy.

But in the morning, I saw that something from beneath had seeped through and made dark marks on every single one! I was sooooo upset! It looked awful! icon_cry.gif But what could I do? I had to deliver. I didn't want to take them off and replace for fear of all of the frosting coming off as well. And I only had 2 extra, not 6!

So, what in the world are you supposed to attach colorflow to buttercream with????

Colorflow absorbs grease and moisture, so you can't put the pieces on the cake very much ahead of time.

Beautiful plaques!

for sides--- have to make w/ wooden skewers or similar embedded in or glued to back.

for flat top -- can place on small sugar cubes or mini-marshmallows

----

or just leave off until last moment.
