Is there anyone here from NM? I'm considering moving to Southern NM and relocating both my family and my bakery there. (I've got family there). I'll be re-establishing a legit bakery business but I want to know what it's like there... approx cake costs, approx business volume, what types of things sell, etc. I know this is very vague and I appreciate any help and advice! Because I have family there they just give glowing reviews and swear up and down that my bakery would do just absolutely fabulous there and I want to know if it's got a real shot or are they just trying to get us to move there. I guess I'm looking for a "day in the life of" type info. My business currently is mostly wedding cakes and b-day cakes. I don't have a retail shop with a bakery case filled with products-all of my orders are phoned or emailed in and weddings are by appointment only. I'm curious to see if I would be able to maintain that type of business or if I need to change.

Thanks again!

I am seeking an ABQ baker to make my brother's graduation cake. I wanted to make it myself, but I'm not arriving in time to make it before the party. Do any of you sell cakes? If so, please send me your web address and contact info. Thanks!
