Ok I have posted before asking abut Jack Daniels. My question now is I am not about to write out all that information on their label. So where can I get an edible image print of thier label or can you tell me other tricks to putting label on the cake .. It does not HAVE to be edible. We can always peel it off. However, can anyone tell me where to go for the image of Jack Daniels and how to put this label on the bottle I am making? Does Wal-Mart do edible images? Office Max? What can I do?
You can ask your local supermarket to make the edible image.
You can also do a frozen buttercream transfer - I think there is an article on how to do that on this site.
Sorry I can't be too much help about the edible image. I'm in the same boat with not knowing where to get one done.
To find the logo, just do an image search in google and you'll get tons of labels to choose from in all sizes. As a last resort, you could just print it on your computer and cover it with saran wrap and put it on the cake like that. I've done that before. You can't eat it obviously, but the cake will look great and that's all that really matters. I doubt anyone will really be disappointed that they can't eat the label.
Let me add to my comment -
Most supermarkets have the frosting sheet technology in their bakery department - but some may not. Go to the biggest supermarket near you or call around and ask if they put pictures on cakes - if they do - they can make your label.
I found this site, here's a link to the Jack Daniel's label. http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/?query_id=2255755&page=1&mtype=&brand_id=7395
Let me know if the link doesn't work. You could start at the home page and do a search, if it doesn't. I went there for the label for my tabasco cake. I enlarged the image on the computer, or you could use a copier, and printed it out the size I wanted. Then traced over it onto parchment paper, you could probably used waxed paper too. Then, I cut out a square of fondant the correct size, placed the paper over it and pressed the image into the fondant with a toothpick, tracing over my pencil marks. Then went back and drew it in with food markers. Then picked it up and placed it on the cake! I think it worked pretty well.
HTH!
Oh sorry, this is probably the one from the bottle: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/?query_id=2255755&page=1&mtype=&brand_id=64143
Or have I missed what you wanted? I just read your post again, and maybe you don't want to trace all that! Sorry! You could leave off some of the writing and it would still be great, I'm sure.
THANK YOU!!!! I don't mind tracing at all. I just did not want to write it all free hand because my writing is horrible! SO I will give that a try as well! I will also call Schnucks or Wal-Mart to see if they are able to do it as well. If nothing works for me I will print the label out and use saran wrap!
Thank you guys
