I am making a halloween cake. I want to make a cake and decorate it to look like a wooden bucket. Then i want to use cupcakes and stack them on top of them and decorate them as pumpkins. I was thinking to just stacking some round cakes together and that would probobly work but i dont know how to decorate it to look semit real. Any suggestions.

Thanks

If you look at the articles on the CC home page, there is one for making a flower pot. I would follow those directions for the shape of the bucket and then make fondant wood slats. I got some great advice from thecakemaker and she told me that you need to kind of taper the wood slats when you make them so that they will fit the round/s;anted shape of the bucket.

Hope that helps! I am planning a similar cake, but won't be doing it until next week sometime. I hope yours turns out great and I can't wait to see pictures icon_smile.gif
