I just went and bought all of the tools that the local cake supply store had...mat, punches, shaping tools, etc. and I thought as I was leaving the store...I wonder what all of my CC buddies use? So fire away ladies and gents....what works and what doesn't?

I'd also love to hear what everyone thinks. I'm taking a fondant class this Saturday (I'm so excited) so any recommendations would be great.

I have this cutter that I got from cakesbysam.com that cuts equal sized ribbons (kinda like pizza cutter blades). I'd love to get more silicone molds too!!

I have:

32-piece flower making set
13-piece sugarpaste tools
plastic rolling pin with height rings
fondant ribbon cutter
spiral rolling pin

I am eyeing the cutting mat and flower ejector.

I love to use my cookie cutters with fondant. And just making fondant roses is so relaxing!!!

mine are silicone mat. pizza cutter and toothpicks.

i love my little flower cutters too. trick with the tiny flower cutter is that before i try to cut flower i dip the cutter in icing sugar so the flowers don't stick to the cutter.

I have more gumpaste cutters and other tools than I know how to use. I need more time. I started collecting when I thought that I would be able to use them. But now I am raising my grandson and have no time to do any practicing. He loves to eat what I make no matter what it is. He calls it all "Cake" and its delicous(sp). I am still doing some for orders but...I can't leave it out to dry. Oh well they are only young once in their life (MAYBE).

My fav is my sugarpaste gun you can make everything from hair to zippers on a purse. I use it all the time. My mini cutters would be my next fav. I have boxes and boxes of things I have collected over the past few months. I am sure they will come in handy for something! icon_redface.gif
