Not sure if you guys heard about this yet.. This is so sad, how could someone do this to a 3 year old
My sister in law sent this to me, the things that some people do to and allow done to their children is just so wrong. This little angel is now in safe arms. I don't think 27 years is long enough. what great things this little girl would have done will never be known.

You know just from the title I couldn't bring myself to open the link. I have a 3 yr old DD and anytime I hear horrible stories about babies and children I just picture something like that happening to my own children and it breaks my heart. I just can't understand why bad things have to happen to innocent children. It's sad.
sweet ness good job choice not opening that link I too have a 3 year old DD I think im going to hold her a little tighter tommrow. I cant believe the sick people in this world. I work in an infant toddler center serving familys in poverty and i see some bad things it just breaks heart. 30 years is not enough for that guy makes me wish they had utube in jail so all his new 'buddies" could see what kind of "man he is"
I opened this thread yesterday shortly after it was posted.....I have spent so much time since then reading both sides of this little girls misery. Im heart broken and truely sick over it. I did not sleep last night.....it is so incredibly sad.
There are so many wrongs in this story..from both sides. I do not understand why or how the 
that laid his hands on her and kille dher was able to plea out of murder and sexual abuse of this child with just "enabling" abuse....regardless of which side the mother or fathers family to believe...the fighting those two familys were involved in from the moment this baby was born......this man her stepfather basically got away with murder!
there seems to be outrage about the fathers history and who he is and where is was.....outrage about the mother not recieving a fair trial and where she was......but where is the outrage for the stepfather who took this little girls life and was able to PLEA and avoid charges of murder and abuse????
I know what you mean twinsline, it seems adults have more "rights " than children ( particularly abused children )...we need to put childrens' welfare & safety first...
it really does!! and then you have these two families....one side fighting for better laws on Child Protective Services and blaming and ensuring the mother is in jail and for a good amount of time......the other side fighting to get the mother a new trial....but hwat just KILLS me....is that the fathers side.....approved the PLEA OF ENABLING and avoiding the murder AND sexual abuse....and NEITHER side is saying anything about him getting away with this! Im just shocked....I really am. Not to mention the 2nd charge of sexual abuse wasnt found until AFTER this baby was burried....they exumed her to verify it....and yet STILL he was able to plea out of it??
I obviously have to stop reading about this....its unbearable....and I need to remember that this beautiful little girl is at peace now and no longer part of this hell that she was living in.

After I finished reading the other side, I still sent her an email, saying do matter what hes done, hes still did not kill his child, so no matter what u say, hes not the bad guy, and Im sure Im not the only one who thinks this way.. As far as your daughter, I could be wrong, Im not in her shoes, but didnt u see somekind of sign, how did your granddaughter act around him, you said how he acted around her other grandmother (briggs), but u fell to mention, how she act around the child killer. Im sure theirs more tothe story than whats being said..

but his charge is only "enabling child abuse" ....in 25 yrs when he is eligble for parole or when he is released in 30...his label ( as far as on paper) will not be "murderer or sex offender"....without the charge of sex offender that to me would mean he doesnt have to resgister as one either????
I can not for the life of me wrap my head around that....around the fathers side of the family accepting this plea...but then threatening the judge, the jury, and the child protective agency.....
so technically he does get away with murder....
Ok, I didn't read the whole story,just watched that 1 video Trent linked but I can't find it now.....I was wondering why she was in her grandmothers' care - was her dad away most of the time ? If anyone did that to any of my children, or ALLOWED it to happen I wouldn't rest until they got what they deserved.....
Murder is murder,sexual abuse is sexual abuse..it should never be called anything else to downplay it - our justice system here is a joke,you get more time for damaging property than for abusing a child
