Question About Crisco

I am from Australia and I don't know what the Crisco is that everyone is talking about!!! Does anyone have any idea what it is called over here or if we even have something the same????

its shortening, just a brand name of shortening....does that help?

It's a white vegetable fat. Known in the UK as White Flora or Trex. Hope this helps

Thanks everyone! Still not sure what I can use though lol! I might have to have a few demo batches and try a few different things! I just need a guinea pig to try them!!

hi yummyfiremummy

there are a few brands over here, solite, cream cup etc but you can buy crisco at an american supermarket in melbourne. copha is white vegetable shortening but its not the same as the crisco or other varieties used in frostings.
