Okay, my problem is I was asked to do a wedding cake and grooms cake for a lady at church for Dec., but I do not know how to make a good stacked cake. I have made two of them and they both crumbled and leaned really bad. So I thought that maybe I needed to make a pound cake since they are a little more sturdy.I decided to make a peach pound cake it turned out better, and was easier to stack but did not care for the cake. Does anyone have any ideas to help me? Carrie icon_cry.gif

There is the recipe here on CC for for good density cake. Also if you haven't already.Did you try doweling your cakes before stacking them.I will try to find that recipe and post it,so can see if it is something you may consider.

You can stack the lightest and fluffiest cake around... you just need support.
