I can't find the threads now, but I read somewhere if you take a piece of gumpaste, just a pinch, and dissolve it in a small bit of water, it makes a kind of glue, and you can use that to attach the pieces together.

If you can't get that to work, try using a bit of meringue powder and some water.

Hope this helps,

Holly

"gum glue" that is the answer!! I get a small piece gumpaste really wet and stick it in the junction. You can also make a small batch of gum glue and keep it handy for the next time!

You can do that, but it's more versatile and can be used on every project, if you, as Hollyanna70 said, dissolve it in water. Then you brush it onto whatever you need to stick together ......and you won't see it at all, either. icon_biggrin.gif

Royal icing is the key here. You will have to put it together one peice at a time, and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Make sure to support your peices well while they are drying.

Royal icing, and if you don't have the recipe for that, here it goes:

1 egg white
1/2 teas. lemon juice
Powdered sugar

Mix well until is the consistancy of spreadable icing. Put into piping bag and use to glue gumpaste, fondant, or sugar paste peices together.

Enjoy!

If the pieces are already dry, I would use royal icing to glue them together.
