This post is related to mine from yesterday about the canceled lingerie shower. So apparently, they did take pictures. Phew! My mind is at ease, now. But then they put the cake in the freezer because they may have someone interested in buying it for a shower in january. The cake had gumpaste tissue paper and bra and fondant panties on top. So my question is, how well will the bra and tissue paper freeze and then defrost? If it's not going to survive, I think I should let her know. Anybody frozen any finished gumpaste pieces?

I doubt that it will survive until January. There is no good way to seal the cake unlsess they vacuum seal it. Even if that is done a cake in the freezer that long---Yuck
Do you want your name to be tagged to a cake that you no longer have control over?
Certain Fondant brands are frezable but Gum paste to my knowlege is not. Also if you are in a humid area the cake sweat for sure.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. I'm going to tell them to take the cake out and either I'll refund their money and take the cake back (I know it will get eaten here at work) or they can eat it. And I'll ask them to give my name to the person who wants it for January, I can make another one!
