I had posted the other day on the color taupe, and only had one response, so my DH said lets go on the computer to the color chart. I had a sample of the color and matched it the best I could, it tells you what parts of red, green and blue. We then took the ratios down to the smallest fraction and it worked. The key of course is they don't tell you how much white to add, so I just started experimenting with quantitys of white. So for those of you that need to make this color, I started with 1/3 cup of icing and added 5 parts red, 3.4 parts of green, and 2.25 parts of blue, it gave me an interesting shade of bronze, I then kept adding white until I got the color I wanted. I just used drops of color and carefully added the tenths to what I thought. Anyway just a tidbit of info.

I read your post, but my suggestion was pretty much the same as the one already there. I would not have thought to add that many different colors, so I probably would never have gotten a true taupe. Glad you got what you needed, and I'll try to remember what it takes to do that.

I do find frequently that the colors on my monitor don't always match when it is printed (I make address labels and pin-back buttons) so it does take some experimenting. Janice
