icon_surprised.gif Help!!! I have a request for a double sheetcake with a tiered sheetcake on top of the double sheetcake. What kind of pillars or tiers do I use for this? I have only tiered round cakes and never sheetcakes. Thanks for any help you can give me. icon_surprised.gif

I had a request like that to. I was worried about the weight from the tiered sheet cake. And thank god i did a test cake. Because it was to heavy. I didnt feel confident that just normal pillars would support it. I ended up using a dummy for the top

I'd take the high road and use the pillars that are tall and go clear down to the plate/cake board. Like used in course 3 if you don't dowel. I can't remember what they're called! PUSH-IN PILLARS MAYBE????

Yes, the push in pillars would probably work. I'd use more than usual, though, maybe 8???

Good luck! You'll do great!

If it were me, I would use 6 pillars, a set of two on each side, and a set of two in the middle. Good luck
