When you make a sheet cake how do you get it out to cool? I know people use cake release and wax paper lining so you can lift it out but do you leave the wax paper on and just trim the excess??
Thanks Ya'll
I spray my pans with pam spray, (need to try the cake release) but I let my cakes cool 15 to 25 minutes depending on the size (my lager sheet cake 12 x 18 if I flip before 25 minutes all ways crack). then I lay paper towel on top of cake put my wire rack on top and flip - let it complete cool.
If you use a spray on the pan before baking called bake easy or bake release spray after you remove it from the oven let it rests for 10 minutes then place a large cookie sheet over the pan and turn it over it should come out very easily. Do not use wax paper or leave the wax paper under the cake. When it is cut it could be pulled back into the cake and people would eat it. Once it has cooled completely on the cookie sheet do the same process to get it on a cake board but don't forget to put a bit of icing under it to secure it once you have it place after flipping it. I hope this is clear.
If not let me know
Kathy
