What kind of brush do I use to put on luster dust?

I am making a groom's cake shaped like a wrench and am planning on coloring the icing light grey and then using the luster dust to make it look a liitle shiny. I wrote to the cs dept. at Chef Rubber and that was their suggestion. Just not sure what kind of brush to use.

For small areas, I use soft, natural, sable brushes to apply luster dust wet or dry.

To cover big areas (whole cake) with wet luster dust, I use 1-2" foam brushes.

Mix the dust with some vodka or extract until it is like paint (or heavy whipping cream) consistency. If the mixture is too thin, you will see brush marks. If too thick, you will see small globs of the dust.
