Hi, everyone I made this cake over the week-end..
I really did not want to make this cake but the person at work twisted my arm,, so I thought,, OK, she's paying me $40.00 anyway..
This is a 9 inch Chocolate Fudge Cake filled w/ 100% butter, buttercream,
I sparyed Hazelbut Torani syrup on each layer...I made MMF and experimented on the stencil.. I love the stencil.. I will definite do it again.
Very pretty and delicate looking, great job! I would like to know more about the stenciling as well.

Stenciling was not as hard as I thought.. I bought a stencil from Michaels, the one you use when painting a wall..I used white, white buttercream.
One thing to make sure while you are applying th buttercream and holding the stencil, be sure not to move the stencil.
As soon as you apply the buttercream, the stencil will stick to the Fondant, and very slowly remove the stencil after applying the buttercream.
One thing good about this, if you make a mistake, you can just wipe it off and do it over again, as long as you are doing it on fondant. ![]()
thank you ladies and gentlemen ( if there is any here).
I used a spatula. With Buttercream on the spatula, spread it over the stencil while holding it in place with your left hand and the spatula on the right hand. Make sure to remove the excess BC, run the spatula over the stencil a few times. Too much BC on the design would look
sloppy. ![]()
Your cake is beautiful
I, too, love stencilling. That is what I used on my first wedding cake and everyone loved it. However, I stencilled with Royal Icing. I guess you can stencil with anything as long as it's thick enough.
Anyway, great job
And your cake is worth more than $40.00 it's so beautiful!
