Could someone tell me how to make a cupcake cake. I have seen them and think they are so neat but not really sure how to do it or get the frosting so smooth it looks like a flat surface. Thanks.

It is easier than you think. You MUST make sure the cupcakes fit tight together or the frosting will sink between. No hole or spaces between. I put a bit of frosting on the bottom of each cupcake liner to hold them on the board. Don't over fill them! I found if I fill them a little less than for regular cupcakes it is SO much easier to cover smoothly. They should be level with the top of the liner for the best results. Here is one that I did for my Grandson and noone knew it was a cupcake cake.

I agree! Super easy!!!
I second the comment about making sure the cupcakes are REALLY close together! The two that I made in my photos were super easy, but the sesame street one had icing fall through a couple holes! icon_sad.gif Ah well!

I didn't stick down each cupcake, I just did the outside ones and it worked fine for keeping them all in place!

Good luck and have fun!
