As many of you may know from my last post, I was asked if i would make a brides main flowers to match her sugarpaste flowers that i made for her cake. Well here is a pic of them together. My only problem is that this is the closest gold colour match that I can get. My DH says that she is not giong to be close to the cake all the time so it won't be an issue, but I'm not totally convinced.......What do you think?????? P.S I have never done floristry before. The bride hasn't seen them yet either!!!

I think it's close enough, and they are just beautiful.

Your roses are beautiful, and the color is close enough, in my opinion.
Nice job!

Actually, to be dead honest, I think your flowers are prettier than hers. I'm not one for the metallic roses but your's have a very romantic color to them.

Great job! thumbs_up.gif

I think they are fine, the only thing I can think to make them closer is to spray or paint gold luster onto your gumpaste roses, just to give them the shiny metallic look. I would test on one first though just to make sure you like it, the gumpaste are so pretty, maybe the luster would ruin the look. Just a thought!

Well if she was going to for the gold look perhaps you could use the spray or dust as suggested. i like your color better myslef, but it is not my wedding i guess. MAybe before you go to the trouble you could show them to her and ask if she would like for you to spray/dust. Perhaps make an extra and spray/dust for comparison for her.

Good luck and beautiful flowers!!
