Im Having A Panic Attack Please Help Me

Ok here it goes...My aunt has a 60th birthday on Sat. I am making her cake (suprise Birthday party) I have NEVER baked a 12 x 12 before, I know I can do this...I have a WASC 12 x 12 layer in the oven as we speak and have to bake another one for a two layer...there will be a 7 x 7 present cake sitting on top of the 12 x 12. I have that one baked....the 7 x 7 has 3 2 1/2 inch layers and I am guessing my 12 x 12's will be about the same thickness ( 2 1/2 inches each layer)....my problem is I thought I had this all worked out in my head...is this going to look stupid??? I know this is a big difference in size cakes but...my 10 x 10 Magic line pan hasn't arrived yet 
from intotheoven.com . Should the 7 x 7 sit off center and then write on the bottom cake and NOT decorate the bottom cake like a present?? Or kinda center it but do a diagonal (I don't know if this is what I mean)... How would it look best and am I going to be alright??? The cake that I am trying go by is by Cakery...It isn't going to look exactly like it but fairly close.....what should I do? Should I go ahead and pass out and just cry or is this all doable???

Take a DEEP breath it will be fine!!!!
The 7" on the 12" will be fine - the space around the top cake with only be approx 2 1/2" on each side - most people like the look of 2" around the sides between the layers - will be just fine either way you want to do it.

It's going to look great with the top tier either squared or offset - it just depends on what look you're going for. You're going to have about 2.5 inches on either side of your top cake, which will give you room for a plaque (as in the photo) or a border decoration. So all is good!

Thank you all so much!!!! One more ??? should I use the dowel method on this or should I use the hidden pillars....the pillars I have are 6 inches long...if I should use those do I still dowel down through the board (my square wilton cake plate will be 2 small)...if I should use the pillars what is the best way to cut them down? I have wire cutters...ok pillars or dowels?

I agree, it'll look great! I prefer the hidden pillars, but that's just me. I think they give better stability, but I have no proof for that, JMO! I'm sure either will be fine.
