Hey Susie, I went to college at Clarkson in Potsdam and grad school at SUNY Plattsburgh. Now transplanted to West Virginia. Nice to see someone from the North Country!!
BTW, I've also seen popcorn salt at bulk food stores. We have several "Amish" stores and farmer's markets that sell bulk foods and they often will have it. Next time I need some, though, I think I'll use the spice grinder trick & save myself the hassle of searching for it!

I haven't been able to find it at any of our large grocery chains in Canada...
I even drove down to the Walmart in Bellingham, WA and couldn't find it... for those of you buying it at Walmart is it a Superstore you go to?
Thanks
Bec,
Wow, someone that use to be in Potsdam and Plattsburgh? How neat. I was just in those towns last week. ![]()
Looking for goodies is never a hassle to me. I love to grocery shop. ![]()
Nice to meet you,
Susie
I am willing to go to the Market and pick some up its $2.00 in my store and ship it to anyone that is not able to get it... If you want...
Send me an Email [email protected] Make sure you post CakeCentral / Popcorn Salt in the subject line so I dont miss your post..
So it would be $2.00 plus what it cost to ship it...
Hum, I think there is a Hannafords about an hour away.
I'm way up north in Saint Lawrence County. I'm a half hour from Canada and 2 hours from Vermont.
I'll find it or maybe grind my own table salt as suggested.
Thanks,
Susie
oy, my parent's house is not up that far, sorry susie!
LOL Susie......and I just thought of something else you can do if you want to be really "crafty"...
Take a small amount of salt and put it in your blender(I have a bullet blender that I wouldn't trade for all the fancy blenders on earth!!) and make it into a powder. Then you can just put it into a bottle and use it as you need it! Walaa!
Also, you can use a dash of almond extract and it will take down the salty taste as well, and it tastes fabulous!
Thanks for all the tips/hints/and help a sweetie is going to send me some. How neat is that???????? ![]()
Susie
