Could someone tell me if fondant can either be frozen or stored in the fridge after it has been placed on a cake? I've not worked with it a lot & I did put some in the refridgerator to harden it for about 1/2 an hour but I was wondering if a cake could be stored in the fridge or freezer if all of it's not eaten right away.

you can freeze or refridigate the fondant.Sometimesd some condensation can occur but you can blot it off or just let it sit and it will be reabsorbed

Will the fondant become soft again after it sits out? Also, if there's some fondant that's molded, would it become soft & loose it's shape?

I don't think that the shapes would loose their shapes. I would let the shape harden before i froze it to be sure. The fondant that I have had left over I have thawed and refrozen several times and not really had any change in consistancy that i can tell... are you making your fondant or are you purchasing?

fondant shouldnt really be refrigerated, but can be frozen. When thawing it will show condensation on the fondant, I never try to blot it as it leaves marks, but if u leave it to dry on its own it should be fine.
You dont have to put it in the fridge to harden, that will happen if you just leave it to dry for a while.
