Okay...I may be crazy, but can you wrap a small cake in an edible image like you would wrap a present? It would be really cool to scan wrapping paper and then wrap the cake and give it as a gift...like to daycare workers or teachers, etc.

Would this work?

Derby, sure you can! I bought a sheet of clear matt finished acrylic (there's a name for it...) with a beautiful rose print on it that I am going to scan and wrap around a cake for a girlfriend get together sometime soon. The colors will chnge depending on the color of the icing on the cake. And I have been eyeing baby wrapping paper for shower cakes. I'm excited to try this out. I think the sky is the limit with a dedicated printer and an imagination. Good luck!

I'm sure can do this - it sounds like a great idea. I have seen the handbag cakes done in this way - scanned LV, burberry or Gucci etc. and then sheets stuck on cake .
