Hi !!
i tried making MMF this evening and after 20 minutes of mixing or more the dough was still granular due to the sugar. I used granulated cane sugar and i thought it would be fine. Also, the dough is very cracked and is falling apart. Is there any way I can salvage it? I'm trying to make a fondant covered cake for my friend.
I tried zapping it in the microwave hoping the heat would melt some of the sugar but that did not see to help too much.

Any Sugesstions???
ARGHHHHhhhhhhhhh

Thank you!

I've never heard of making MMF with granulated sugar, all the recipes I've used or seen call for powdered sugar.

I don't think it's going to work, though - wish I had better news for you. icon_sad.gif

Yeah, I'm afraid you are going to have to scrap that batch. You have to use powdered sugar, granulated wont do the trick.
